From 1981 to 2007 led company from $1,000 initial capital in 1981 to achieve gross revenues of over $100 million $14 million in profits in 2006. Specializes in identifying and negotiating undervalued oil & gas properties. Founder of Lone Star Midstream, a natural gas pipeline in Texas. Sold interest for investors for multiple million dollar profit. Successfully negotiated joint ventures with Royal Dutch Shell (SWEPI) and Mesa Petroleum (T Boone Pickens) in 2005.
From 2005 to 2007 CEO Patman Drilling International, building and deploying 7 Drilling Rigs, including 4 new market entry rigs from China manufactured by Shengli Highland in Shandong Province.
2008 to Present: Director of Operations – Woodland Partners Holdings, LLC and subsidiaries: Woodland Resources LLC, Woodland Operating LLC, Woodland Drilling LLC, and Groupo Crouch SA de CV.

Since the inception of Patman Drilling International, Michael Patman has been a catalyst for Woodland Resources' growth and diversification strategy. His areas of concentration and specialization include the analysis, negotiations and acquisition of business ventures as well as business development services. Mr. Patman has been instrumental in the assembling the majority of the present holdings of the company. He has 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
